Your support makes the seminary possible. Through giving, we share in God’s work of transformation across Canada and create opportunities for the many people who are called to leadership in the church.
Giving now is tremendously important, as the need for leaders grows.
You can make a difference in the church today. You can Share the Challenge!
Our mission depends on it.
Tuition and grants cover only about 50% of our costs. The rest comes from donors like you. We have been blessed with committed and generous supporters, who give faithfully and generously. However, the need is always greater, and the challenge to provide the best in seminary education is an expensive one.
Lutheran Theological Seminary, Saskatoon has been equipping the leadership of the church in Canada and abroad for more than a century. Our graduates serve in many capacities in the ELCIC and other denominations, as well as sharing God’s Good News in the world through mission and relief work.
Along with a strong ordination-training program, LTS offers a variety of degrees and certificates, welcoming students from many denominations and countries. In our ecumenical learning context, students gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of what being Lutheran means, while learning to be inclusive of people who differ and gracious toward other views. LTS is unique in the importance it places on a cross-cultural, globalized understanding of human relationships, Christianity, and Lutheranism.
Part of the call to stewardship is a responsibility to care for God’s church, a mission that we all share. The church needs a constant flow of new leaders, ordained and lay. LTS is the ELCIC leadership training centre for Western Canada. We are your partners in the task of continuing the church’s work.
