“Joy and satisfaction, along with many memories,” Bishop Allan Grundahl reflected after a gathering of some 80 people on Saturday, September 10th to recognize the old Luther Seminary building at 212 Wiggins Avenue.
A beautiful bronze plaque, with a picture of the building, sits atop a pebble-surfaced pedestal that contains the cornerstone from the original building. Church leaders and family of former students spoke about the importance of the space, which housed a seminary for students in the Norwegian Lutheran tradition and then the offices of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Canada.
A special thanks to all who attended, as well as to everyone who has donated to this project. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we exceeded our fundraising goals!
