The Grace Fund is at the heart of LTS’s future!
The Grace Fund is about ensuring that LTS continues to attract and sustain world-leading theologians and educators for our faculty. Support for this fund reinforces two foundation-stones for the future of the ELCIC and the whole church: Lutheran presence in scholarship and teaching, and contemporary priorities in education.
The Grace Fund is based on recognition of the need for Lutheran formation through scholarship and training. Our task is to bring the riches of our heritage into conversation with today’s issues. At LTS, this core piece hinges upon the presence of strong and gifted faculty voices.
We take to heart our message, ‘Be Challenged.’ We wrestle with big questions. ‘What is God doing in our world?’ ‘What is the future of the church?’ ‘What should church leadership look like in a post-pandemic world, and how do we prepare for it?’ Our professors are at the forefront of responding to these questions, today. The Grace Fund will help us to continue this work into the future.

Lutheran Theological Seminary, Saskatoon has moved!

This summer, after 52 years at Seminary Crescent on the University of Saskatchewan campus, LTS moved to the St. Andrew’s College facility on College Drive beside the hospital and medical complex.
The move enables LTS to cooperate more closely with The College of Emmanuel & St. Chad (Anglican Church of Canada) and St. Andrew’s College (United Church of Canada)—our fellow schools in the Saskatoon Theological Union, and both occupying adjacent portions of the building with us.
When the world starts to open up again and in-person visits become more realistic, we would be delighted to welcome you here. Our new address is:

With very many people in North America today, I say, “Black Lives Matter.” And, I say:
This time will live in history. This time will cause us to learn, to grow, to change. But, I’m forced to ask:
Will it? Or are these mere words, spoken too easily from a position of privilege?
